Dr. Christopher Liakonis, Dr. Nour Juratli, and Mellanie True Hills, CEO of StopAfib.org, will speak
The Center for Heart and Vascular Services of Oakwood Medical Center invites the public to join them for two free Afib education events in the Detroit area discussing minimally invasive surgical ablation as an Afib treatment option.
Special guest speaker, Mellanie True Hills, Founder & CEO of American Foundation for Women’s Health and creator of StopAfib.org, will share her story about living in fear with Atrial Fibrillation until she gained her freedom back with the revolutionary procedure that changed her life.
Nour Juratli, MD, Oakwood Medical Director for Electrophysiology, will discuss why traditional medications, cardioversions, and catheter ablations often times don’t cure Atrial Fibrillation and Christopher Liakonis, DO, Cardiothoracic Surgeon and pioneer of Oakwood’s Atrial Fibrillation Treatment Program, will discuss in detail the minimally-invasive surgical ablation procedure.
