Watch the replay of a webcast by cardiothoracic surgeon Andy C. Kiser, M.D., and electrophysiologist Mark Landers, M.D., both of Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The webcast features the Convergent Procedure for the treatment of long-standing atrial fibrillation.
This convergent procedure, and similar hybrid procedures, can provide the best of both worlds by combining catheter ablation and surgery and reducing negative aspects of each, thus requiring less procedure time and less radiation exposure (fluoroscopy).
