There Will Be Red — At Lunch For The Heart

It may have been frigid weather outside, but things were red hot in the Connecticut Convention Center Thursday thanks to hundreds of sizzling women clad in ruby, fire-engine, cherry, scarlet and vermilion — all celebrating heart health at the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women” luncheon.
“I have five heart tips for women,” said keynote speaker, author and nationally acclaimed heart health advocate Mellanie True Hills. “Eat healthy, exercise, change your attitude about stress, follow the three Rs — rest, relax and rejuvenate — and take control of your life.”
Despite being decked out in a usually hard-to-miss bright red suit, Hills, who serves as a national speaker for the heart association and is founder and CEO of the American Foundation for Women’s Health, was just one of a wave of red that filled the ballroom. more…
