Are the new anti quagulatnt drugs safe for over 70’s crowd?
Jim
Jim,
Generally, for those over 70, you just take a smaller dose of the ones already approved. For example, Pradaxa has two doses approved in most countries, so you might take the lower dose under certain circumstances.

i am 57 and had been diagnosed with afib about ten years ago. I am on medication and for the most part only go into afib 3-4 times per year at which point I take additonal medication and convert. Recently I went into afib because I was lying on my right side when I went to bed…this is not the first time I have felt my heart start to fibulate while lying on this side…when this does happen it seems that I could have some indigestion…any thoughts??
