yes.. i know a friend that has been diagnosed w/afib….48yrs young,,but the onset is more frequent and she is allergic to quite a few medicines etc……..is there any new meds on the horizon…or is she stuck w/the ones shes on now..???? she also has a thyroid problem as well………if anyone can help me out w/this i would be eternally gratefull……….the docs are given her too many things….increasing the doses then decreasing then changing all together……its rough on her body……..and she has no energy after an episode….
I have been taking coumadin for the last 12 year and just about 2 weeks ago my cardiologist discontinued coumadin and put me on Pradaxa. So far so good and I would love to know your feelings about this. I am a healthy 75 year old female and the Afib has been under control for a good time.
Thank you for responding! Barbara
