Sleep apnea, a sleep disorder that disrupts breathing during sleep, is believed to be linked to atrial fibrillation (AF) but until now, we didn’t know if apnea could actually trigger arrhythmias like afib. Now a new study shows the odds of having an abnormal heartbeat are 18 times higher immediately after an apnea episode, compared to the risk during normal sleep breathing.

What information, if any, does anyone have about mercury poisoning from degraded amalgam fillings in the mouth?
I am trying to figure out all the potential causes and this seems like a good area to investigate.
Mercury is highly conductive and easily distributed through the mouth, after all. It would seem very possible that small amounts of mercury in the heart could disrupt the electrical rhythms, yes?
If so, what might be done?
Dan,
There is a lot of concern in the afib community about mercury amalgam fillings. That has been discussed a lot over at the Lone Afib Forum, so check it out at the link below. The bulletin boards there get archived off after a while so you’ll need to search each bulletin board separately.

I am interested to know if any afibers have ever used diet pills, amphetamines and in particular amphetamines with barbiturate additives, such as Dexamyl.
