Dr. Nassir Marrouche and Mellanie True Hills, CEO of StopAfib.org, will speak about atrial fibrillation treatments

Noted best-selling author Mellanie True Hills will discuss her experiences as a survivor of atrial fibrillation on May 19 at the Salt Lake City Public Library.
The public is invited to attend this free event, which also will include a brief presentation on new treatment options for atrial fibrillation by renowned electrophysiologist Dr. Nassir Marrouche, the executive director of the University of Utah’s Comprehensive Arrhythmia Research & Management (CARMA) center. It is sponsored by University of Utah Health Care and CARMA, which provides worldwide pioneering leadership in advancing clinical treatments and research for cardiac arrhythmias, especially atrial fibrillation.
Ms. Hills is also the founder and CEO of StopAfib.org, a patient-to-patient resource that is part of the American Foundation for Women’s Health. She has spoken to hundreds of organizations and has been interviewed by major national media outlets.
The event will inform patients and their loved ones about this disease from the patient’s perspective and present new treatment options.
