On September 12, in celebration of National Atrial Fibrillation Awareness Month, Mellanie True Hills and John Day, MD will do a series of media interviews on TV stations across the US to raise awareness of atrial fibrillation.

Mellanie True Hills
is an afib patient and founder and CEO of StopAfib.org, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping those living with afib to get their lives back and to rid the world of afib-related strokes. She has been afib free for 12 years as a result of a surgical procedure. In 2007, she created Afib Awareness Month and worked with medical societies to get the US Senate to officially declare September as National Atrial Fibrillation Awareness Month.

John Day, MD is a cardiac electrophysiologist and Director of the Intermountain Heart Institute Heart Rhythm Specialists. He is Past President of the Heart Rhythm Society and Utah Governor Elect of the American College of Cardiology. He has authored more than 100 scientific and medical journal articles and a book, The Longevity Plan: Seven Life-Transforming Lessons from Ancient China.
