November 20, 2019

  • Summary:  During the Giving Season, you can help prevent afib-related strokes and save lives, and even receive some gifts.
  • Reading time: 2–3 minutes

Giving Season is upon us. During this time of year, you can help us save lives — maybe even yours. And we even have some gifts for you, too!

Give To Help Save Lives

Each year, 1.7 million people worldwide die or are disabled by strokes caused by atrial fibrillation.

It’s our mission to change that: to stop afib strokes and help those living with afib to get their lives back. And right now, you can help.

Through our website (which we are currently updating — a huge and costly undertaking), our annual Get In Rhythm. Stay In Rhythm.® Atrial Fibrillation Patient Conference, and numerous webinars, master classes, newsletters, and support in our patient discussion forum, StopAfib.org provides education and raises awareness. We help those living with afib to get diagnosed, understand their treatment options, and prevent strokes.

Our reach is worldwide. We are involved in coalitions around the globe to educate consumers, policymakers, and the media on what can be done at the national and local levels to prioritize afib screening and treatment.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the impact we’re making!

We need your help.

During the Giving Season, please make your donation if you, or a loved one, have benefited from our work or if you support our mission of wiping out afib-related strokes worldwide.

Even the smallest donation helps, and you can set up a recurring donation to help us all year long. When you click, you can set your donation to any amount and frequency you choose.

And, as a bonus, we are making available the medical ID bracelets that are normally available only at our patient conference. When you make your donation of $30 or more, or a recurring donation of $15 or more, you can designate which medical ID bracelet you want us to send you. The bracelets feature the StopAfib.org logo and the names of different blood thinners. Why is this important? The reversal agents vary depending on which blood thinner you are on, so emergency personnel need the name of your specific blood thinner in order to treat you correctly.

Please give now! You can help us save lives — perhaps even yours!

Would this be the perfect holiday present for yourself or for someone you love?
