About
Dr. Schwartz is a thoracic and cardiovascular surgeon at Loyola University Health System and is the surgical director of the hospital’s Department of Heart Transplant and Mechanical Assist Devices. He earned his medical degree at Emory University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in general surgery at University of Illinois Medical Center and a residency in cardiothoracic surgery at University of Southern California School of Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He is the author of numerous publications on cardiac surgery, aortic aneurysms and heart transplant.
